Vocabulary of Change

Vocabulary of Change

Vocabulary of Change is a documentary that brings together Angela Davis and Tim Wise, two leading racial and social justice scholars and activists for an unscripted and wide-ranging discussion on contemporary global politics. They explore how individualism, the myth of meritocracy, and institutional inequality have led to racialized public policy and the commodification of basic needs such as water and food. Through their discourse, Angela and Tim call for new vocabularies and fluency to unite global communities and address the challenges of the 21st century. Alongside their shared reverence for historical memory and contemporary activism, they inspire hope and empowerment, reminding us that ordinary people are capable of achieving the extraordinary when they work together. This documentary will leave viewers with a renewed sense of faith in humanity and a desire to think critically and create solutions for a more just and compassionate world.

Directed by Mohammed Soriano-Bilal. Includes 40 Page Study Guide by Victor Lewis.
