Public Poets is a new generation of multidisciplinary artists, storytellers, culture makers, and narrative leaders using poetry, movement, music, film, fashion, and creative facilitation to help communities reconnect through imagination, reflection, creative expression, and human connection.
Created in partnership with Youth Speaks, the Public Poets Fellowship uplifts emerging artists whose work bridges storytelling, cultural expression, interdisciplinary creativity, and community impact. These artists are part of a growing movement of narrative leaders using creative practice to shape culture, build connection, and expand what communities believe is possible.
Through performances, workshops, and interactive creative experiences, Public Poets invite participants to explore identity, belonging, embodiment, healing, self-expression, and collective possibility in a time when many students and communities are searching for deeper connection and meaning.
Public Poets offerings often blend workshop facilitation, performance, storytelling, movement, writing, discussion, and collaborative creative practice. Through their work, audiences are invited to engage not only as listeners, but as participants in the creative process.
