Portraits of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender People & Their Families
This timely and compelling exhibit creates a dramatic visual response to homophobia and breaks the silence by making the invisible visible. Through interviews with twenty families who have gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members, the exhibit provides a very moving and powerful introduction into these familiesí lives.
ěLove Makes a Familyî has toured nationwide and has been an ideal opportunity to educate as well as celebrate and appreciate diversity. By helping to dismantle the destructive power of prejudice and intolerance, the exhibit helps make the world a safer place for all families.
ěLove Makes a Familyî consists of twenty ready-to-hang museum-quality framed photographs which measure 16î x 20î and are accompanied by laminated text panels. Space requirements vary depending on the manner in which you hang the exhibit ń on walls, from molding, on easels or on portable bulletin boards.
Interviewer/author Peggy Gillespie or photographer Gigi Kaeser are also available to speak in conjunction with the exhibit.
