NCORE, the leading national conference on the issues of race and ethnicity in American higher education, drew some 2300 attendees to Indianapolis this year. Campus leaders and social justice change agents came together to share ways to build inclusive campuses and culturally effective students. With issues of race, gender and ethnicity shaping the world's news, NCORE is still essential to building skills and gathering tools for positive change.
SpeakOut was out in force - our speakers and artists offered preconference institutes, keynotes, workshops and breakout sessions. Staffers Jean Caiani and Felicia Gustin worked the booth in the exhibit hall - networking, coordinating conference booksignings, and selling books and DVDs.
